Postnatal Home Visits
When you arrive home with your newborn baby in your arms, rest assured that the Babies and Beyond Home Healthcare team will be with you every step of the way, to help you have a positive and happy time with your baby. Our expert team will care for you as well as your baby, with health checks for both of you in the comfort of your home. We will also answer any questions you may have about your baby – from feeding and hiccups to sleep…for all of you!
We will teach you about:
- Support and guidance on feeding your baby
- Lactation consultations and breastfeeding support
- Support with parenting
- Advice on family relationships, particularly helping siblings to adjust to their new family member
- Developmental and general health assessments of your baby
- Baby growth mapping (length, weight and vital statistics)
- Support with neonatal conditions and infections (with staff fully trained in neonatal care and premature baby management)
- Maternal health assessments (wound care post C-section, BP monitoring, healthy eating and sleep)
- Support for maternal emotional health issues, such as postnatal depression awareness and support
Our expertise and support extends beyond the first few months of your baby’s life to continue as your baby grows. Our clinical specialists provide professional guidance and practical techniques in areas such as:
- Sleeping
- Weaning
- Potty training
- Food (how to cope with fussy eating)
- Positive parenting techniques
